A massive landslide at the Rubaya coltan mines in eastern Congo has left more than 200 people dead, according to M23 rebel authorities. The collapse, triggered by heavy rains on Wednesday, buried multiple artisanal mining sites. Many victims remain trapped in the mud, while injured survivors have been evacuated to nearby health facilities, with plans to transfer the wounded to Goma. In response, the rebel appointed governor of North Kivu has suspended artisanal mining in the area and ordered residents living near the mine to relocate. #DWAfrica
