Maganja community resists intimidation and demands justice in the compensations promised by TotalEnergies

Members of the Maganja community in Cabo Delgado are facing great pressure and intimidation due to their strong stance against the monetary compensation proposals offered by TotalEnergies.

These individuals, directly affected by the company’s mega natural gas project, rejected the proposal presented on December 31, 2024, demanding the restoration of lands promised more than six years ago.
