Response to Violent Extremism in Northern Mozambique from the Perspective of the Triple Nexus of Humanitarian, Development and Peace
This report critically analyzes the harmonization, coherence, and complementarity among the Humanitarian, Development, and Peace (HDP) sectors in response to violent extremism in Cabo Delgado. Resulting from a field research conducted in September and October 2022, the report identifies the main actors engaged and maps the challenges faced in coordination, coherence, and complementarity among the three HDP sectors. The main argument of the study is that despite the efforts of various actors involved in responding to violent extremism in Cabo Delgado, there is still a lack of coordination among the humanitarian, development, and peace sectors, compromising the achievement of intended results.
