or more of the f ollowing: arbitrary arrest, torture and ill-treatment, f orced disappearance, execution or
extrajudicial killing.
For the civil and political rights we do not have data f or enough countries in Sub-Saharan Af rica to do a regional
comparison. However, compared to the other countries in our sample, Mozambique is perf orming worse than
